Step 7: Humbly ask God to remove our shortcomings
Step 8: Made a list of all the persons we have harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all
Luke 8:1-8
- What do you find difficult and good about prayer?
- What kind of injustice in the world angers you? How often do you pray about it to God?
- Of who does this judge remind you off? (it could be somebody in your own life or a movie character) How do you think could it be that such a person got to be a judge? What are judges supposed to do?
- Why do you think Jesus chose a widow for his parable? What did He want to convey by it?
- The judge seems to be aware of his condition (he says in verse 4 that He does not fear God or care for other people), what does that tell you about him?
- How is God’s motivation for answering prayers different from the judge’s (see v 5)?
- How do you reconcile the general message of this parable with what Jesus said in Matt 6:7-8?
- Is it possible to be moved by a two year old’s plea and not change your mind? Does prayer change God?
