Acts 8: 26-40
- Did you see the new movie Joker? Why do you think this movie is controversial?
- Is it a good think to think of the world in terms of villains and heroes sinners and saints; enemies or friends? What is the danger in that?
- What do you know about Ethiopia and Ethiopians?
- Considering that this was a time with no air travel and modern day transport, what does the fact that this man traveled so far tell you? What does the purpose of his visit tell you about him (v 27)?
- Many people turn to Isaiah when they don’t know what to read. It is in the middle of the Bible and fairly easy to find. It also contains a lot of inspiring scriptures. Do you think it is wrong to do that? Do you think this is why the Ethiopian read from that book?

- How can we stay near people in our time?
- How is starting with a question better that starting with a statement like Phillip did in verse 30?
- In what way do you think this passage played into this man’s life narrative?
- Verse 35 again says where Phillip “began” What can we learn from it?
